½ Day Refresher Course

Course format:

½  day Group Session (minimum 1 participant and optimum maximum 8 participants)

Aim:

As the title suggests, to refresh skills providing the latest techniques/strategies, recent policy/procedural guidelines, advanced techniques for selection committee members and convenors.  Designed for those who have sat on selection committees previously.

  • Update of current practices & procedures
  • Evaluating the do’s & don’ts
  • Getting the most out of your questions & the interview
  • Managing the committee
  • Equity in employment

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of the day, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the do’s and don’ts when completing the entire process from writing the ad to post selection discussion and the appeals process
  • Enhance current knowledge and skills in selection
