Course format:
1 day Group Session or 2 x ½ day Group Sessions (minimum 1 participant to optimum maximum 12 participants)
Aim:
To enable participants to successfully be called for interview and perform to the best of their ability
Key content:
- Interpreting advertisements and selection criteria
- Application process including completing cover letters, addressing key criteria and completing resumes/CVs
- Interview techniques including essential preparation, putting your best foot forward at interview and personal image and presentation
- Opportunity to participate in a “mock” interview scenario with feedback from facilitator & other participants
Learning Outcomes:
On completion of the day, participants will be able to:
- Identify steps to take when applying for a position including preparation & pre & post interview techniques
- Identify what to expect at interview including interviewer behaviour & questions/selection strategies
- Identify what to prepare including appearance, expected questions & answers
- Identify essential techniques to present well at interview including do’s & don’ts
- Optimize their time for greatest impact and success including several activities for writing the application & preparing for interview

Jennifer incorporates group discussions, practical exercises, one-on-one support & consultation, role-play scenarios on the day & feedback via telephone & email prior to the session as required.

Course format:
2 hour One-on-One Session
Aim:
Designed to increase an individual’s competitive edge when preparing for interview, this session is of most value when participants are in the process of applying for a specific position Focus is on public sector positions.
Key content:
Whilst this session is designed specifically to meet an individual’s needs, the session can include:
- Reviewing application/résumé
- Identifying & improving interview presentation skills & any weaknesses/strengths
- Anticipating questions & appropriate answers for the position applied for
- Conducting a mock interview & providing feedback
- Techniques to finish the interview with maximum impact
Learning Outcomes:
On completion of the day, participants will be able to:
- Identify the do’s & don’ts of presenting at interview
- Improvements to be made to their interview technique &/or application
